An intravenous catheter introducing device includes a needle hub (2) slidably inserted into a barrel (1) and holding a needle cannula (41), a biasing member (5) disposed to bias the needle hub (2) to a rear position so as to retract the needle cannula (41) in the barrel (1), and an easy release unit (3) including an engaging wall segment (31) which is attached to an outer surface of the barrel (1) , two flexible squeezed wall segments (32) which extend from the engaging wall segment (31) and which is squeezable so as to move two latch members (33) to steer clear of a retained end (221) of the needle hub (2) through an access hole (127,192) in the barrel (1), thereby permitting the biasing member (5) to bias the needle hub (22) towards the rear position.
