Octenidine or its salts, preferably octenidine dihydrochloride, which is intended for mutual administration of octenidine in solution with a polyalcohol compound (I), where optionally in addition to one or more aldehyde groups, provided that they form (cyclic) acetals with one of the hydroxy groups or one or more keto groups optionally as acetal with one of the hydroxy groups, optionally in addition to one or more carboxylic acid groups if (I) is a cyclic acetal or acetal, or a polymer, polyether and/or polyester, is claimed. Octenidine or its salts, preferably octenidine dihydrochloride, which is intended for mutual therapeutic administration of octenidine in solution with a polyalcohol compound of formula (H-C-OH) a(HO-C-OH) b(H-C-H) c (I), where optionally in addition to one or more aldehyde groups, provided that they form (cyclic) acetals with one of the hydroxy groups or one or more keto groups optionally as acetal with one of the hydroxy groups, optionally in addition to one or more carboxylic acid groups if (I) is a cyclic acetal or acetal, preferably with ring sizes of 5-7 atoms, or a polymer, polyether and/or polyester, provided that (I) exists as a polymer, polyether or polyester with at least two units of (I) if sum of a and b is 2 or 3, is claimed. a, b : whole number； and a+b : at least 2, preferably 3； and c : 0-2 to (a+b).
