PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving rack device suitable for cultivating plants in a room or the like using a lot of cultivation containers.SOLUTION: The moving rack device for plant cultivation is structured so as to be flexibly switched into either of a working passage-formed condition where a working passage (A) is formed between two arbitrary adjacent racks, and a working passage-absent condition where all of the racks are adjacent one another. Racks 1A, 1B at both ends of the device are each provided with shelves 5 where cultivation containers 4 are disposed in parallel along a frontage direction so as to be taken in or out at a space to the working passage (A) at one side of both of the racks. Intermediate racks 2A, 2B are each provided with shelves 5 where the cultivation containers 4 are disposed in parallel along a frontage direction so as to be taken in or out at a space to the working passage (A) at either of both sides of the racks. Above the shelves 5 of all the racks, ceiling-side light-reflecting plates each covering the ceiling part are set up. The racks 1A, 1B at both ends are each provided with a back surface side perpendicular light-reflecting plate 10 covering the back surface side of the device.
