A posture change mechanism (105) for changing the posture of a bed (104) in order to change the posture of a subject (101) mounted on the bed (104) in the gravity direction is provided. A storage unit stores change parameters, including a change amount for each change posture of the posture change mechanism (105) determined in advance in accordance with a previously set observation direction inside the stomach (111) of the subject (101) by a capsule endoscope (103). The stored change parameters are used to control a change operation of the posture change mechanism (105). As a result, the posture of the bed (104) can be changed in order to set the posture of the subject (101) in the previously set observation direction with respect to the capsule endoscope (103).
