A method and device for detecting separation of a wearable apparatus. The method comprises the following steps: detecting, by means of an acceleration sensor, whether a wearable apparatus is in an unfastened state (S11) if the wearable apparatus is in the unfastened state, after elapse of a preset time period, detecting whether the wearable apparatus is in a still state (S12) and if the wearable apparatus is in the still state, determining that the wearable apparatus is separated, and giving a separation warning (S13). The invention detects a state of a wearable apparatus, and the wearable apparatus is determined to be separated after the wearable apparatus has been in an unfastened state and a still state in a sequential order, such that a separation warning can be issued timely. The separation detection performed by sensing a change in states has high precision, and thus a user is less likely to experience inconvenience resulting from erroneous determination.
