PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve medical treatment with new functions excellent in lubricity, lubrication durability, and water retaining property without spoiling flexibility of a metallic coil even when thin film is coated on a metallic substrate in order to eliminate problems of hardness of securing lubrication durability itself though various methods for making the film thickness of a coating resin layer thin as far as possible are studied so far, in manufacturing a guide wire for PTCA etc.
SOLUTION: On the surface of a substrate constituting the medical instrument, a silane containing primer resin having a functional group having reactivity with a hydrophilic high polymer in a molecule is coated in a thin film form and the hydrophilic high polymer is chemically fixed to the primer and the lubrication durability is given.
