PURPOSE: A positron emission tomography using a scintillation detector is provided to configure a detection part by applying a scintillator which uses economic material.CONSTITUTION: A positron emission tomography using a scintillation detector includes a plastic scintillator(10), a reflective film, and a photomultiplier. The plastic scintillator comprises plastic material. The plastic scintillator has a trunk structure having a polygonal cross-section. The reflective film is formed in an external surface of the plastic scintillator. The photomultiplier is combined with the plastic scintillator.
