PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device capable of improving a preservation property for food or the like, and capable of irradiating light with a wide variety of wavelengths having effects aiming at activation of metabolism of animals and plants.
SOLUTION: Since a transparent filter 13 penetrating ultraviolet light without change, a blue filter 14 with the use of a fluorescent material exciting blue wavelengths around 450 nm by irradiation of ultraviolet light, and a red filter 15 with the use of a fluorescent material exciting red wavelengths around 650 nm by irradiation of ultraviolet light, are arranged on an irradiation direction of an ultraviolet LED light source 12, light with a plurality of wavelengths is irradiated inside a storing chamber 11, so that a preservation property for food or the like is improved.
