The invention provides a film coating preparation which has the surface with high glossiness even if without sugar-coating. A composition for film coating is characterized by containing (A) hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, (B) polyethylene glycol and (C) talcum powder, wherein the mass ratio (A:B) between the components (A) and (B) is 1:0.22-1.25, and the mass ratio (A:C) between the components (A) and (C) is 1:0.8-3.8.
