A device for responding emotions is disclosed, including a skin conductivity sensor, a pulse sensor, a processor and a response device. The skin conductivity sensor measures conductivity of skin of a user. The pulse sensor measures heartbeat of the user. The processor receives the conductivity and the heartbeat. The processor obtains a current emotional range of the user and further confirms the current emotional state of the user according to the heartbeat. The response device is electrically coupled to the processor for generating a response corresponding to the current emotional state. An emotion recognition method thereof is also disclosed.
