PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SOAT expression inhibitor, as SOAT is also called ACAT (acyl CoA: cholesterol acyl transferase), the existence of SOAT1 and SOAT2 have been known until now, SOAT1 is strongly expressed in almost all tissues, especially in macrophages, and SOAT2 is principally expressed in the liver and the intestines, i.e., to provide a preventive/therapeutic agent for various disease states such as arteriosclerosis caused by dyslipidemia by solving the dyslipidemia.SOLUTION: An SOAT expression inhibitor containing a guar gum decomposition product is provided. Preferably, the SOAT expression inhibitor in which the average molecular weight of the guar gum decomposition product is 5×10-1.8×10is also provided.
