According to an embodiment a polypectomy device is disclosed for removing a polyp (310) comprising an outer tube (220) comprising a distal end and a proximal end； and a slidably disposed wire (210) arranged in the outer tube and extending between the distal and proximal end comprising a snare loop (110) at the distal end； and controlling means operatively coupled to the wire at the proximal end； wherein the controlling means are configured to slide the wire such that the snare loop extends out the outer tube at the distal end in an open condition for placing the snare loop around the polyp； wherein the outer tube further comprises cutting means (222) at the distal end configured to scrape the polyp, and wherein the controlling means are further configured to, when the snare loop is in the open condition, slide the cutting means with respect to the outer tube towards the polyp for removing it.
