A self-expanding element delivery apparatus includes a catheter having aninner lumen, aself-expanding clement, and a delivery wire disposed within and extendingthrough the innerlumen and the self-expanding element. The self-expanding element has aproximal, distal, and aninterrnediate portion. The element has anchor members, a compressedconfiguration fittingwithin the inner lumen, and an expanded configuration dimensioned larger thanthe catheter. Thedelivery wire also has proximal and distal portions, an interrnediate portion,a dual functionbump member disposed approximate to the intermediate portion, and a pusherbump memberdisposed approximate to the proximal portion of the delivery wire. A bumpmember distancebetween the dual function bump member and the pusher bump member is such thatso that onlyone of the dual function bump member and the pusher bump member can contactone of theanchor members.
