An air treatment apparatus comprising: a housing defining an air flow path between an inlet and an outlet； an air flow impeller arranged for inducing a flow of air through said air flow path； and an electrode assembly suspended within the air flow path and orientated transverse to the induced air flow path； wherein the electrode assembly is configured to operably generate a plasma discharge circumferentially about a longitudinal axis of the electrode assembly and within which particles or constituents of air within the induced air flow will be exposed to the plasma.La présente invention concerne un appareil de traitement d'air qui comprend : un boîtier qui définit un trajet d'écoulement d'air entre une entrée et une sortie ； une roue à aubes d'écoulement d'air agencée pour entraîner un écoulement d'air à travers ledit chemin d'écoulement d'air ； et un ensemble à électrode suspendu à l'intérieur du trajet d'écoulement d'air et orienté transversalement au trajet d'écoulement d'air entraîné. L'ensemble à électrode est configuré pour générer une décharge de plasma de façon circonférentielle autour d'un axe longitudinal de l'ensemble à électrode et, à l'intérieur dudit appareil, des particules ou des constituants de l'air à l'intérieur de l'écoulement d'air provoqué seront exposés au plasma.
