A method and apparatus for implementing a grievance handling platform is disclosed. A victim who is a user or a member of a social networking platform (SNP) creates a multimedia post on the SNP to report a grievance. The grievance is evaluated based on a two- step verification process to determine the authenticity of the grievance by the grievance handling platform. If the grievance is validated under the two-step verification then it is published on the SNP and accessible to all users of the SNP. If the grievance is not validated under the two-step verification then it is discarded.
