PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machine and a cover action support mechanism of the work machine which achieve a compact cover action support mechanism and improve design freedom.SOLUTION: The cover action support mechanism according to one embodiment of the invention is mounted on a work machine including: a work rotor rotating work jaws a first cover covering an upper side of the work rotor a second cover connected with the first cover so as to rotationally movable.
