Device for decontaminating fluid e.g. water or gas polluted with bacteria, solvents, cigarette or cooking odors and volatile organic compounds, comprises reactor comprising photocatalytic element, detector, sealing unit, and comparator
The device (1) comprises a reactor (2) comprising a photocatalytic element (3) to be illuminated by a light source (4), a detector (5) for measuring a concentration of volatile organic compound in the reactor, a unit for partially sealing an inlet of the reactor, a comparator of which an inlet is connected to the detector and an outlet is connected with a sealing unit, and an alarm connected to the comparator. The detector comprises sensors for providing characteristic information on the volatile organic compound. The detector comprises sensors for providing a characteristic information on the volatile organic compound, and a unit for expressing the characteristic in the form of a concentration of the volatile organic compound in the reactor. The comparator is configured for transmitting a sealing command by the sealing unit, where the concentration of volatile organic compounds greater than a predetermined value is identified by an assembly formed by the detector and the comparator. The sensors are placed in the last third of the reactor with reference to a flow of direction of the contaminated fluid in the reactor, and consist of an infrared sensor, a flame ionization sensor and a Raman spectroscopy sensor. The light source operates in UV range. The comparator controls a rate of opening of the sealing unit by making a comparison of a value of concentration of volatile organic compounds provided by the detector and the predetermined value. An independent claim is included for a process for decontaminating a contaminated fluid.L'invention concerne un dispositi
