A storage container for plant (1) that preserves plants is provided with cut flowers (21) and liquid (22) that is absorbed into the cut flowers (21) in the hermetically-sealed storage container. The internal pressure of the storage container (1) is higher than the atmospheric pressure since only air is filled in the storage container. As a result, plants can be preserved economically and for a prolonged period of time.
