The present invention relates to a method for the process control of a plant for the continuous production of foams, comprising the steps a) determining at least one actual value of at least one state variable of a foam produced in at least one whipping system, wherein the determination of the at least one actual value of the at least one state variable of the foam is performed downstream of the at least one whipping system, and b) the determined at least one actual value of the at least one state variable of the foam is compared with at least one predetermined setpoint value of this state variable of the foam produced and, in the case of a deviation of the actual value from the at least one setpoint value, at least one process parameter of the continuous production of the foam is automatically altered. The invention likewise relates to a device for carrying out this method.
