The present invention relates to a medical ultrasound system. The base unit includes a system electronic component, a user interface, and an ultrasonic control electronic component. The ultrasonic treatment head is in electronic communication with the base unit. The treatment head includes a replaceable sealed transducer cartridge having a coupling fluid therein. A cooling system is provided for cooling the coupling fluid. A plurality of guide indicators are positioned around the treatment head to align with the patient''s crossing line for proper alignment of the treatment head prior to use.
