PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner excellent in workability during mounting and dismounting of an ion generator, which efficiently sends out ions.SOLUTION: The air conditioner having a duct 22 to form a ventilation channel 71, needle-like discharge electrodes 41 to 44 which are oppositely disposed, and an exterior case 31 in which the discharge electrodes 41 to 44 are disposed is provided with an ion generator 26 detachable to the duct 22. The exterior case 31 has a frame shape, in which an electrode cover part 32 which partially covers the discharge electrodes 41 and 42, an electrode cover part 33 which partially covers the discharge electrodes 43 and 44, and connection parts 34 and 35 which connect both ends of the electrode cover part 32 and the electrode cover part 33 are included. The duct 22 is provided with groove parts 74 and 73, in which the connection parts 34 and 35 are inserted to guide the exterior case 31 in one direction during mounting and dismounting of the ion generator 26.
