The invention relates to a stimulation device (1) for the application of atranscutaneous electric stimulation stimulus onto the surface of a section ofthehuman ear, which comprises a holding element (2) as well as at least oneelectrode (3, 4) which is arranged in a electrode carrier (5), wherein theholdingelement (2) comprises a linear guide (6), wherein a resting part (8) isarranged atthe holding element (2), wherein the holding rod (7) comprises a first axis(A),wherein the holding rod (7) runs from a first position (P1), which adjoins tothelinear guide (6), to a second position (P2), which adjoins to the electrodecarrier(5), wherein the resting part (8) defines a first plane (EO) with a restingarea (9)at the ear, on which area a second axis (B) is arranged perpendicular, whereinthefirst axis (A) and the second axis (B) span a middle plane (E1). To obtain abetterstimulation by an improved placement of the electrodes on the skin surface oftheear the invention proposes that the holding rod (7) lies at the first position(P1) inthe middle plane (E1), that the holding rod (7) departs from the middle plane(E1) from the run from the first position (P1) to the second position (P2) ina firstrod section (10) until a reversal point (PU) and that the holding rod (7)moves tothe middle plane (E1) from the run from the reversal point (PU) to the secondposition (P2) in a second rod section (11), so that it lies in the middleplane (E1)after arriving of the second position (P2).
