PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antiaging agent excellent in action for preventing/improving aging of the skin.
SOLUTION: The antiaging agent comprises a solvent extract of a plant of the genus Quercus of the family Fagaceae as an active ingredient. In the antiaging agent, the solvent extract has collagenase activity-inhibiting action and/or fibroblast proliferation action and the plant may be used as a form of a chip composed of oak wood or barrel for aging whiskey.
