PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft capsule which can obtain added values such as preservability, easiness of cracking with fingers after drying, and sound and feel upon cracking by relaxing the thickening effect and gelation speed by carrageenan to stabilize the productivity of the capsule, while maintaining the hardness by increasing the content of carrageenan in the composition of a capsule coating, and to provide a method for producing the soft capsule.SOLUTION: In the soft capsule, the composition of the capsule coating contains at least carrageenan, an acidic pH adjustment agent, and a neutralizer.
