A slit is provided that extends from an opening in a leading end of the insertion tube to a rear end thereof. The connection section of the support section is arranged so as to deviate from a central axis of the instrument body in a prescribed direction in a projection view of the body of the insertion instrument from an optical axis direction of the intraocular lens in a state where the intraocular lens is stored in the storage section.
