PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for dentistry, exhibiting little change in a curing rate and adhesiveness to dentine even after long-term preservation, and having excellent preservation stability, and to provide a cement for the dentistry, comprising the composition.SOLUTION: The composition for the dentistry includes a polymerizable monomer (a), a filler (b), an oxidizing agent (c), a reducing agent (d) and a polymerization accelerator (e), wherein the filler (b) contains a filler (b) surface-treated with a surface-treating agent containing an organic compound (p) having a basic functional group.
