A trigger-operated portable electric tool that is designed to perform a main function such as pruning. The tool includes a double trigger (5-6) consisting of a main trigger (5) which operates at least one moving active part (3) of the tool and an auxiliary trigger or secondary trigger (6) connected to the main trigger by means of an articulation (7) and designed to make an angle with the main trigger. The pivoting of the auxiliary trigger about the articulation enables actuation of a means (8) of operating a system designed to perform at least one additional function of the tool.
