PURPOSE: A soybean-derived isoflavone aglycon and a cosmetic composition containing the same are provided to improve stability and skin absorption solubility and to enhance collagen biosynthesis. CONSTITUTION: An isoflavone aglycon contains a crude extract which is isolated and purified in an active form by enzyme or microorganism fermentation. The enzyme is beta-glucosidase. The microorganism is Bifidobacteria, Lactobacilli, Leuconostocs, yeast, or Aspergilli.
