PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking cultivator capable of carrying out ridge-making work with good finish with a simple structure.SOLUTION: The walking cultivator includes a travel machine (1) which has a steering handle (4) extended backward as well as is equipped with a tilling rotor (16). A ridger (20) equipped with a forming board formed of a rubber plate is provided in a state so that the upper end part is supported on the side of the travel machine body and hanging at a position behind a tilling rotor (16). A rod (13) which carries out a supporting action so as to maintain the forming board in a ridgelike action attitude against opposing force pressing side surfaces of the ridge is provided at the central part of the forming board in width direction of the forming board by contacting from the rear side of the forming board.
