PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic lens that can correct or minimize presbyopia, or can serve as a lens for preventing an eye from becoming more myopic.SOLUTION: The ophthalmic lens comprises an optical zone 110, the optical zone 110 having a first surface and an opposite second surface and including a coma-like wavefront aberration oriented vertically from a top 108 to a bottom 109 of the ophthalmic lens. At least one of the first and second surfaces of the optical zone 110 is described by a spline-based mathematical function or a combination of two or more mathematical functions, at least one of the first and second surfaces of the optical zone 110 is asymmetrical, and the optical zone 110 has an optical frequency which increases progressively from the top 108 to the bottom 109 of the optical zone 110.
