PURPOSE: A method for measuring blood pressure using the slope form classification of a pulsation component waveform and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent the variable of a characteristic ratio according to the frequency characteristic of a HPF(High Pass Filter) in a blood pressure measurement process by controlling the use of the HPF. CONSTITUTION: A controller(110) controls the overall operation of a blood pressure measuring apparatus according to a preset program. A pressure sensing unit(120) measures the variation value of applied pressure and depressurized pressure to a cuff. A waveform acquisition unit(130) obtains the measured waveform of cuff pressure from the output value of the pressure sensing unit. An average pulsation pressure measuring unit(140) measures the average pulsation pressure of an oscillometric mode from oscillation waveforms. A setting value input unit(150) inputs various set values. A communications unit(160) communicates with an external device. A display unit(170) displays various data which includes a pressure variation value and a measured waveform.맥동성분 파형의 기울기 형태 분류를 이용한 혈압 측정 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 일측에 따른 혈압 측정 방법은, 커프 압력의 측정 파형-여기서, 상기 측정 파형은 커프(cuff)에 인가된 압력을 일정한 시간간격 T로 단계적으로 감압하여 측정된- 을 획득하는 단계와, 상기 커프 압력의 측정 파형으로부터 기 설정된 노-필터(No-filter)방식을 통해 맥동성분에 대응하는 오실레이션 파형들을 추출하는 단계와, 상기 추출된 오실레이션 파형들로부터 '위상 다이어그램' 또는 '진폭에 따른 주파수 특성' 중 적어도 하나를 획득하는 단계 및 상기 '위상 다이어그램' 또는 '진폭에 따른 주파수 특성' 중 적어도 하나의 파라미터에 기초하여 혈압을 측정하는 단계를 포함한다.
