Provided is an aqueous cosmetic or dermatological preparation which is substantially emulsifier-free and comprises one or more lipophilic perfume ingredients, one or more lipophobic perfume ingredients, the weight ratio of the lipophilic perfume ingredients: lipophobic perfume ingredients being from about 0.5: 1 to about 4: 1, and at least about 13 % by weight of microcrystalline wax, based on the total weight of the preparation. The preparation is suitable for application to wet or moist skin and may be useful for providing longer lasting fragrance to the skin despite the application of the preparation to wet or moist skin.
