The present invention relates to a method for isolating mucin, which is a glycoprotein present in marine plants such as sea tangle, seaweed, fusiformis, gulfweed, and green congertii, via a specific continuous process production method. The present invention further relates to a marine plant-derived composite mucin isolated thereby, and a cosmetic composition containing the same. More specifically, though a marine plant extract in an aqueous solution forms opaque mucilage colloid, inventors of the present invention have produced a functional cosmetic composition containing the same by single separation of mucin through the production process at an optimal production yield. The marine plant-derived mucin of the present invention can be used as cosmetic ingredients and external skin applications excellent in antioxidative functions, inflammation-inhibiting effects, irritation-reducing functions, fine wrinkle ameliorating effects, and atopy alleviating effects.본 발명은 다시마, 참미역, 톳, 모자반, 납작파래와 같은 해양식물에 존재하는 당단백체인 뮤신을 특정 연속 공정 제조방법을 통하여 분리하는 방법과 이와 같이 분리된 해양식물 유래 복합뮤신 및 이를 함유하는 화장료 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 좀 더 자세하게는 수용액 내에서의 해양식물 추출물은 불투명한 점액 콜로이드를 형성하지만 본 발명자들은 최적의 제조수율과 제조공정으로 뮤신을 단일분리하고 이를 함유하는 기능성 화장료 조성물을 제조하였다. 본 발명의 해양식물 유래 뮤신은 항산화효과, 염증 억제 효과, 자극완화효과, 잔주름개선 효과, 아토피 개선효과가 우수한 화장료 및 피부외용제로서 이용할 수 있다.
