PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply the teaching of passive shield protection to a disposable, single use injection device having a self-contained construction such that the patient end of the needle is passively shielded before and after use and the non-patient end of the needle is contained within the device to protect a user or health care provider from unexpected needle sticks without requiring a passive shield system on the non-patient end.SOLUTION: A pre-filled, single-use injection device 100 includes a passive dual shield 24, 26 on the patient end of a needle 56. The injection device 100 is self-contained such that the entire needle 56 is shielded after use without a separate passive shield system for the non-patient end.【課題】ニードルの患者端が使用の前及び後で受動的にシールドされ、及び、ユーザすなわちヘルスケア提供者を非患者端上の受動型のシールドシステムなしで予想外の針刺しから保護するようにニードルの非患者端が注射器内に収容されるような自己完結型構造を持つ使い捨ての一回使用注射器に、受動型のシールド保護の教示を応用する。【解決手段】充填済み一回使用注射器100は、受動型のデュアルシールド24,26をニードル56の患者端上に含む。注射器100は、非患者端のための別個の受動型シールドなしで、使用後にニードル56の全体がシールドされるような自己完結型である。【選択図】図2
