The present invention relates to novel glucagon peptides, to the use of said glucagon peptides in therapy, to methods of treatment comprising administration of said glucagon peptides to patients in need thereof, and to the use of said glucagon peptides in the manufacture of medicaments. The glucagon peptides of the present invention are of particular interest in relation to the treatment of hyperglycemia, diabetes and obesity, as well as a variety of diseases or conditions associated with hyperglycemia, diabetes and obesity.La presente invención se refiere a péptidos de glucagón, caracterizados porque comprende: SEQ ID NO. 1, en donde X24 es Lys y en donde por lo menos una de las siguientes sustituciones están presentes : X2 es His, C15 es Glu o X16 es Ala, Ile, Phe, Arg, Thr, Val, Leu Glu, Trp o Tyr, y hasta seis sustituciones de aminoácidos adicionales están presente en el péptido del glucagón y un sustituyente que comprende tres o más porciones cargadas negativamente, en donde una de las porciones cargadas negativamente está distal de una porción lipofílica y en donde el sustituyente ésta unido en el nitrógeno de la cadena lateral de Lys en la posición 24, o una sal, éster, amida o ácido farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo.
