PURPOSE: A composition containing alpha-pinene as an active ingredient for preventing and treating acute pancreatitis is provided to suppress progression of acute pancreatitis and to treat a damaged tissue. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating acute pancreatitis contains alpha-pinene as an active ingredient. The composition reduces the PW (Pancreas Weight)/BW (Body Weight) ratio, activities of serum amylase and lipase, damage of pancreas and lung, MPO activity of pancreas and lung, and inflammatory cytokine activity. The daily dose of the active ingredient is 0.0001-50 mg/kg. A health functional food for preventing and treating acute pancreatitis contains alpha-pinene as an active ingredient.본 발명은 알파-피넨(alpha-pinene)을 유효성분으로 함유하는 급성 췌장염의 예방과 치료를 위한 조성물 및 건강기능식품에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 조성물은 췌장 무게/체중의 비(PW/BW), 혈청 아밀라아제 및 리파아제의 활성, 췌장 조직의 염증, 부종 및 괴사의 정도, MPO활성, 염증반응 촉진 사이토킨 및 폐 조직의 염증 및 부종 정도를 감소시킴으로써, 급성 췌장염의 진행을 억제하고 손상된 조직을 개선할 수 있는 효과를 보유하고 있다.
