The process comprises overlaying a portion of an external surface (4) of glass wall (2) of a container (1) by a coating (8) consisting of silicone, pre-heating the container at a temperature of 243-225[deg] C, immersing the pre-heated container in a hot bath prepared with a silicone based coating, cooling the bath to prolong its existence, and forming a liquid bath from a bi-component silicone having a viscosity and a service life. The glass wall of the container further includes an internal surface (3) adapted to be in contact with the product. The process comprises overlaying a portion of an external surface (4) of glass wall (2) of a container (1) by a coating (8) consisting of silicone, pre-heating the container at a temperature of 243-225[deg] C, immersing the pre-heated container in a hot bath prepared with a silicone based coating, cooling the bath to prolong its existence, and forming a liquid bath from a bi-component silicone having a viscosity and a service life. The glass wall of the container further includes an internal surface (3) adapted to be in contact with the product. The coating is intended to impart to the wall having breakage resistance properties. The bath is cooled to maintain its temperature below 40-35[deg] C, at 20[deg] C, at >= 10[deg] C, at 10-20[deg] C, at 10[deg] C or at 20-35[deg] C. The step of forming the silicone-based bath includes mixing a first mixture based of polymethylvinylsiloxane and a second mixture based of polymethylvinyl and polymethyl hydrogen siloxane. The second mixture has a viscosity of 3500-650 mPa.s at 25[deg] C, and the silicone-based bath obtained from the mixture has a viscosity of 4000 mPa.s at 25[deg] C and a service life of 4 hours at the same temperature. The container is penetrated in the silicone-based bath, and is maintained in an inclined fixed position while the silicone-based bath is in movement to overlay the external surface of the container.
