An electric connector head (4) is formed on a battery pack housing (2) and is attached to contact elements (51, 51a) that are positioned within the compartment. The contact elements electrically contact the head in a predetermined insertion position of the pack in the compartment. The contact elements in the compartment are positioned on a contact plate (50), which is floatingly supported on the compartment.
