PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster which prevents a tire of a caster of a drip stand etc., from being stuck in a door groove of an elevator, thereby secures safe walking and prevents strings and fine refuses from being caught in the caster traveling on the floor, and thereby secures the smooth rotation of the caster.SOLUTION: A wheel cover having an overhanging portion overhanging to the outside of the width of a tire near the ground position of the tire is disposed at both right and left sides of a wheel of the tire. The overhanging portion is of a fan shape and is set to be offset to the rotating shaft of the tire by 10 degrees in forward and backward directions with respect to the ground position, and the overhanging portion and the wheel cover are integrally formed. The wheel covers have slots in each of which a retaining yoke is fitted so that the wheel covers on both sides are kept fixed when the tire rotates. Ribs are formed in the overhanging portions across tiny gaps between the ribs and side faces of the tire, and a connecting portion connecting the overhanging portions on both right and left sides to the tire across tiny gaps is disposed at a position separated from a ground portion. This, structure prevents strings and fine refuses from being caught in the caster. By this, a caster capable of smooth rotation for a long period is provided.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】点滴スタンド等のキャスターのタイヤがエレベーターの扉溝に落下するのを防止し、安全な歩行を提供し、かつ床上を走行するキャスターに絡む糸くずや細塵類の絡みを防止し、円滑な回転を提供するキャスターを課題とする。【解決手段】タイヤが接地する位置の近傍にタイヤの幅より外側に出張る出張り部を有するホイルカバーをタイヤのホイル左右両側に設け、その出っ張り部は扇形でタイヤの回転軸に対して設地位置から前後10度以上であり、出っ張り部とホイルカバーは一体成形である。またホイルカバーに保持ヨークが入る溝部を設けて組み立てられているため両側のホイルカバーはタイヤが回転しても固定されたままである。又出張り部の内側にタイヤ側面と微細な隙間を設けてリブを設け、左右両側の出張り部をタイヤと微細な隙間を持って連結する連結部を接地部から離れた位置に設けることによって、キャスターに絡む糸くずや細塵類の絡みを防止し、長期間円滑な回転の出来るキャスターを提供することが出来る。【選択図】図2
