CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hypertension contains Chamaecyparis obtusa extract as an active ingredient, isolated from Chamaecyparis obtusa leaves, stems, and branches at 35°；C for 24 hours. A supercritical fluid extract is prepared using carbon dioxide as supercritical fluid at 35-45°；C and 100-500bar of pressure for 30-240 minutes. The pharmaceutical composition is a spray formulation by mixture of the Chamaecyparis obtusa extract with a carrier with volatility.본 발명은 편백 추출물을 함유한 고혈압 예방 및 치료용 약학 조성물 그리고 식품 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 천연식물인 편백으로부터 추출된 추출물을 이용하여 고혈압 예방 및 치료에 효과적인 약학 조성물과 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 고혈압 예방 및 치료용 약학 조성물은 편백 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유한다. 그리고 편백추출물은 편백의 잎 및 줄기, 가지 중에서 적어도 어느 하나를 초임계 유체 추출법을 이용하여 추출한다.
