The invention relates to a device for determining the capacity between two electrodes (4, 5), comprising a measuring circuit (6), connected downstream of said electrodes (4, 5), for determining the capacity between the two electrodes (4, 5), a communications unit (7), connected downstream of the measuring circuit (6), and a first antenna (8), connected to the communications unit (7), having a coil-like structure and at least one winding, wherein said communications unit (7) is designed to transmit the measured values sent thereto to an external data communications unit (40). According to the invention, the device comprises a second antenna (9) having a coil-like structure and at least one winding connected to the measuring circuit (6), wherein the connections of said second antenna (9) are connected directly or indirectly to the electrodes (4, 5) so that an alternating voltage is applied to the electrodes (4, 5) in the event that the antenna (9) is excited with an electromagnetic alternating field. In addition, according to the invention, the measuring circuit (6) is designed for the direct or indirect measurement of the alternating voltage applied at the electrodes (4, 5) or of the alternating current flowing through the electrodes (4, 5), and the output of the measuring circuit is supplied directly or indirectly to the communications unit (7).
