<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately three-dimensionally measure a fundus image considering the distortion of an optical system used for the photography, to provide an accurate fundus image corresponding to the three-dimensional measurement, and to allow an examiner to accurately evaluate the three-dimensional shape of the fundus of an examined eye. <;P>;SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus, the fundus of the examined eye E is stereo-photographed via a stereo-photographic optical system after an objective lens 24, and the three-dimensional measuring process is executed by using the obtained parallax image. Optical characteristics of a human eye are modeled, and a model eye 300 with the gradation pattern on the modeled fundus face corresponding to the fundus oculi is stereo-photographed via the stereo photographic optical system. Calibration data for correcting the shape distortion of the stereo-photographic optical system are created, and the parallax quantity obtained via the stereo photography of the real fundus of the examined eye is corrected by using the calibration data. The three-dimensional measuring process is executed by using the parallax image after the shape distortion is corrected, and the three-dimensional display is executed by a stereo monitor 63. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
