The invention refers to pant-type absorbent article, such as a pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence pant. The article comprises a front portion (2), a back portion (3) and a crotch portion (4), wherein lateral side portions (17,18；19,20) of the front portion (2) and back portion (3) are superposed so that their inner surfaces face each other and being joined to each other along side seams (12,13).
