There are provided a highly manufacturable toy for cats with which cats can play in direct contact and a method for manufacturing the toy for cats with which cats can play. The manufacturing method involves the preliminary mixing step to form a molding compound by melting a resin raw material and then mixing the molten resinmaterial with silvervine, and the molding step to melt the molding compound formed in the preliminary mixing step and then molding the molten molding compound into a toy shape. Silvervine is characterized in that the degree of activity to cats is increased when it is heated prior to molding process.
