The docking system is configured to receive and hold a reservoir (2) and comprises a reservoir holding mechanism (16) and a receiving interface element (18). The receiving interface element comprises a complementary blocking portion (48), the receiving interface element being configured to be moved from a first position, in which the cannula (12) is fluidically connected to the reservoir, to a second position, in which the cannula is disconnected from the reservoir. The receiving interface element engages the blocking portion in the second position via the complementary blocking portion, the blocking portion is configured to prevent the receiving interface element from being moved from the second position to the first position.
