A bib 10 configured to be worn around the neck comprises a first portion 12 of pliable material which covers the upper chest of the wearer, and a chewable portion 14 attached to the lower edge of the device in use so that it can be raised to the mouth. It is anticipated that the device is used for a child who is teething; the bib being of an absorbent material collecting saliva from the dribbling infant. The chewable portion may be formed from rubber with a plurality of protrusions on one or both sides, to help massage the gums during use.
