The system comprises a first monitor and a second monitor (12) comprising a touch-screen the second monitor being configured to display a duplicate ultrasound image and at least one slide potentiometer (130) in a superimposed manner over the duplicate ultrasound image, the potentiometer relating to a processing operation to be performed on the ultrasound image when the slider position of the at least one potentiometer is manipulated (131) by a user in a tactile manner via the touch screen to provide tactile screen inputs that may be processed for instant implementation of the processing operation such that the user can immediately observe the effects on the duplicate image.
