An aid is disposed in the second opening and includes a base having a curved surface the base is disposed proximal to a neck of the patient over the carotid artery. The aid also includes a first reacting agent and a second reacting agent. The first reacting agent and the second reacting agent create a thermic reaction when mixed. The aid further includes a first container and a second container. The base is part of the first container including the base the second container is disposed entirely within in the first container.
