PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod tip portion which is optimally shaped in consequence of making various studies about a fishing rod tip portion capable of acutely sensing an extremely weak strike of small fish such as pond smelt.SOLUTION: The tip portion is attached to the tip of an electrically-driven reel 5 which is a gripping rod portion and formed with a metal plate 2 having spring property. In the fishing rod tip portion 1 where a plurality of ring-shaped threading guides 3 for threading a fishing line are attached along the longitudinal direction of the upper surface of the metal plate 2 at intervals, a thickness of the metal plate 2 sequentially decreases to 0.1-0.5 of a thickness of the base end side thereof, from a position P, which is 0.4-0.6 of a length of the metal plate from the base end side of the metal plate 2, toward the tip side thereof, and a width of the tip side of the metal plate 2 sequentially decreases to 0.4-0.7 of a width of the base end side thereof, from the base end side thereof toward the tip side thereof, and a width of the tip side thereof is made 2 mm or more, and an angle α between a line connecting a tip Q and the position P and a horizontal line is set from 30 degrees to 45 degrees.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
