The present invention relates to a composition for controlling nematode comprising a Kleinhovia hospita extract as an effective component and to uses thereof, and in the present invention, the nematode activity against root-knot nematode of the Kleinhovia hospita extract is firstly reported. A nematicide-controlling material according to the present invention has lower toxicity to environment and non-target organisms than a synthetic pesticide derived from natural materials, and exhibits excellent nematode controlling activity against root-knot nematodes, thereby being usefully used for the development of environment friendly natural product nematicide and the production of high-value added organic agricultural products.본 발명은 클레인호비아 호스피타(Kleinhovia hospita) 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 선충 방제용 조성물 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 클레인호비아 호스피타 추출물의 뿌리혹선충에 대한 살선충 활성을 처음으로 보고한다. 본 발명에 따른 선충 방제용 물질은 천연물로부터 유래하여 합성농약에 비해 환경과 비 타겟 유기체에 대한 독성이 낮으며, 뿌리혹선충에 대해 우수한 선충병 방제활성을 나타내므로 친환경적인 천연물 살선충제의 개발 및 고부가가치의 유기농산물 생산에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
